This is a One-Day workshop to learn about Liftground Etching using aluminium plate. Liftground is a painterly form of etching that creates softer expressive images similar to watercolour or ink washes.
Linocut is a form of relief printing that uses Linoleum (flooring material) which is carved into with curving tools. Ink is applied to the surface of the prepared block with an ink roller, so when printed on to paper, the cut-away areas remain white.
Woodcut is another form of relief printing using wood materials (hard or soft). Ink is applied to the surface of the prepared block with an ink roller and the cut-away areas remain white.
