My first one day workshop in the new year is Multi-Colour Printing with Drypoint. Do join - we can spend a whole day exploring colour printing including À la poupée, Dolly method and multi-plate printing.

This was printed at a wonderful course run by Jim from HALTglass who is coming back teaching again at Ochre Print Stuidio as one day course on the 22nd of January. Jim is so generous and you will learn so many different options of Photoshop to prepare your images ready to go on and be used for screen printing.

It is a unique opportunity to see a collection of etchings and drawings by Tom, the commissioned artist of DAiSY. I was fortunate to meet him and help producing his etching plates and prints at my studio.
Do go and see his wonderful storytelling etchings printed on Hahnemuehle etching papers and expressive drawings as well as this beautiful Manor House and the garden.

Denbies Wine Estate is a beautiful ground to walk around. The view from the top of this vineyard is stunning, overlooking Dorking and its church spire having Box Hill as a backdrop. You can take an informative guided tour as well as wine taste, and a restaurant with a panorama view with a lovely gift shop on the ground. You can spend a day there so do drop by. The exhibition goes on until this Sunday.

This is an copper etching of the magnificent font cover by Grinling Gibbons which you can go and see anytime at All Hallow by the Tower church in London. Using Copper plate is always a bit of a treat. It is the hardest metal we etch which means that you can achieve finest lines and that is rather satisfying.
I was visiting Yorkshire. One tabby cat was standing alone on this old gravestone of Colonel Clitherow's war horse and refused to move from there.
The inscription says:

It was a beautiful evening and rather moving moment that stuck in my head. The garden was full of Autumn colours which was even more golden with bright orange evening light.
Printmaking: Mystery and Method explores how the wide-ranging techniques of printmaking are used by artists to make intriguing and curious work. I'm showing my screenprint. Lovely space and great concept so do pop in.
Tom has created three etching plates here with me. These are based on his drawings which he drew at the sight of West Horsley Place.
St Nicholas Charlwood has 700 years old wall paintings including a rare version of The Three Living and The Three Dead showing the nobles mounted.
I am invited to show my architectural etching prints in this historical church as part of Charlwood Music Festival. This Saturday.
Our annual summer exhibition is on at Adam's Gallery, Reigate. Come along for an opening party and PV on Sunday 29th.
I am opening my new studio 'The Print Room' as part of Surrey Artist Open Studio. I will be showing not just prints but paintings with a printmaker and ceramicist, Ruth Barrett-Daness so do pop in.
